Thinking of exploring Tenerife in complete freedom? Renting a motorbike or scooter in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is one of the best ways to discover the island’s stunning landscapes, vibrant towns, and scenic coastal roads. Whether you’re planning a short coast-to-coast ride or an adventure to Mount Teide, here’s everything you need to know about motorbike rental in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Why Rent a Motorbike in Santa Cruz de Tenerife?

Santa Cruz  is a prime destination for motorcycle enthusiasts. Located in the north of Tenerife, it offers easy access to some of the island’s most spectacular routes. Here’s why you should consider renting a motorcycle here:

  • Unmatched Freedom: but we motorcyclists know this very well; it’s simply our way of life.
  • Roads and safety: In Tenerife, we have fantastic roads and asphalt worthy of a race track. The curves are breathtaking, and we know it. For this reason, we always check tire pressure, chain, brake pads, and tire wear after every ride. Road safety is extremely high, and for everyone’s peace of mind, there are no recorded motorcycle thefts. In any case, the motorcycles rented from Cafemotorbike are equipped with GPS anti-theft devices, and we provide a disc lock, just to give you complete peace of mind. Off-road or unpaved roads are strictly prohibited.
  • An exciting experience: the island’s diverse terrain makes every trip an adventure. The roads leading to Mount Teide start at zero meters above sea level and reach 2,200 meters above sea level. The north is greener than the south, but also colder and rainier.
  • An unforgettable experience: as far as I know, what I’m about to tell you is possible in only two places in the world. In winter, more precisely between January and February, you can go from sunbathing on the beach in a swimsuit at 28-30 degrees Celsius to strolling through the snow in just 20 minutes by motorbike. Amazing, right?

Maxi Scooters

For more power and comfort, maxi scooters like the HONDA FORZA 300 or, much loved by the vast majority of scooter riders, the HONDA ADV 350 are excellent options. If your needs are higher, we also have the HONDA FORZA 750cc. An A2 license is required to ride them.

Things to Consider Before Renting

Before you hit the road, make sure to check the following:

  • License Requirements: Make sure you have the correct license for the type of motorcycle you’re renting. If you have codes in the last column on the back of your license, ask us if they allow you to travel in Spain. Provisional licenses are not valid in Spain. Only the original license or one on official government phone apps will be accepted; photocopies, photos, or reports of loss are not valid. The police cannot check the validity of documents other than the original.
  • Insurance: The price includes basic insurance. Third-party coverage, including the driver and passenger, and roadside assistance, are covered. Damage to the rental motorcycle is not covered. Consider purchasing PLUS insurance, which also covers damage to the rental motorcycle. With PLUS insurance, you’ll have a maximum contribution limit that varies from motorcycle to motorcycle.
  • Dispositivi di sicurezza Scooter: Caschi passeggero e conducente, bloccadisco, antifurto GPS
  • Motorcycle safety devices: Full-face helmets for passenger and driver, motorcycle jacket and gloves, disc lock, GPS anti-theft device
